Today on Days of our Library:
Season 1, Episode 3: In Which A Man Drinks Coffee, A Dead-End Bamboozles, and We Notice a Tradeoff Between the Setting and Plot Development
So exhaustively perplexed by where to begin in his search for the arguing couple, the beguiling protagonist (who is running out of adjectives) decides to take a day off from mystery-solving to work on research things he’s actually being paid to do. Yeah that’s totally it; It’s definitely not lazy writing. Not at all.
Will the mystery of the arguing couple ever be solved? Will the jolt of energy from the coffee make the protagonist more productive on his research? Will he think of more adjectives? Why do you continue to read this?

Today on Days of our Library:
Season 1 Episode 2: In Which the Mystery Deepens, A Calling is Found, and a Half-Baked Premise Moves in a Completely Different Direction
The arguing couple from the previous day is nowhere to be seen.
“BUT THEY’RE ALWAYS HERE!”, our charming, devilishly-handsome, and all around fantastic protagonist wonders to himself, “What ever could have happened?!” Suddenly this all becomes increasingly clear. He is not merely to be an audience to the drama but also a character in the drama. They’ve thought of everything, surmising that the captivating protagonist is both caught up on TV AND usually in the boring doldrums of summer research (not that he isn’t happy to be being paid).
Suddenly, the alluring man’s calling becomes clear—he must solve the mystery of what happened to the fighting couple from yesterday. But with no names or other information to go on, this case may be over before it starts.

Between this and The Great Gatsby, I’ll spend a lot of this December in the movie theater
Days of Our Library:
Season 1, Episode 1: In Which We Establish the Conflict, Take Note of the Charming Blogger, and Wonder if He’s Single (Yes He Is)
Behind that shelf of books, there’s a couple studying for some summer class. I sit here everyday for work. They sit there everyday. Today they’re fighting. She just walked away in tears, saying “well you deserve it”
It’s like they know that I’m caught up on tv, so they’re making a live-action soap opera for my personal enjoyment.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our library…

Missing Prague today.
This is my dog Bones. He is the best dog a person could ask for. My brother and I often joke that out of the three of us (my brother, Bones, and me), Bones is my mom’s favorite child. Bones literally is my little brother. He is 12 years old now, which is pretty old, and it’s starting to show; his hips are pretty bad and he has trouble walking. Today I went on a walk around the yard with him and though he was walking with me, he was walking slowly because his hips hurt. It’s sad to see him in pain, but inspiring to see him power through the pain and be as happy as he was walking around with me today. Bones’s life may be coming to an end, but my family’s memories with him will never end. I’m not trying to sound cheesy, I just really love my little brother, Bones.

It’s pretty rare these days when I reach a point where I need to passive-aggressively blog to strangers about things anymore. (Actually that’s not true, I write up a lot of them. I post very few of them).
